Musikregie | Recording Producer, M. Mus.

The master " Musikregie | Recording Producer " builds on the B.Mus. "Musikübertragung | Tonmeister" and above all deepens the competence in musical-artistic recording direction / production and recording practice. When applying, you have to choose a focus, which can be in the field of popular or classical music.

Within the focus "Classical music," the listening skills are intensively deepened in the module "ear training," and "literature/instrumentation/orchestration" consistently continues the Bachelor modules. In order to further develop one's own instrumental and musical practice, participation in "Chamber Music/Ensemble Plays" is obligatory.

In the "Popular Music" specialization, a main instrument in the field of jazz/pop is further developed in individual lessons. "Arrangement/Instrumentation" leads - depending on previous knowledge - to a basic or deeper understanding of jazz and pop music and enables students to work creatively on their own. Recording production and practice include the chance to realize extensive music productions and are intensively supervised by the professors.

For both majors, the goal of the master's thesis is to realize an extensive production project and its detailed documentation/production description.

The course of studies concludes with a "Master of Music : “Musikregie | Recording Producer”.
