VRACE
In the frame of this EU funded collaborative project 17 partners from universities and companies of 8 countries support research and education of 15 young scientists in the domain of virtual reality in joint research projects. The project part at ETI focusses on the investigation of ensemble sound generation and perception from e.g. string ensembles and choirs. Methods such as 3D measurement of radiation of musical instruments as well as the synthesis of virtual instruments and rooms are employed.

ACTOR
The project ACTOR (Analysis, creation, and Teaching of Orchestration) covers manifold aspects of orchestration in the frame of an international collaboration of 30 partners at universities and companies in the field of music production.
During a funding period of 7 years the exchange of experts and early stage researchers is funded. Current reserach is organised in synergy with the ITN-Projekt „VRACE“ with investigation of ensemble sound. First results have been published at the International Symposium on Music Acoustics – ISMA.
