As part of a three-day workshop on musical instrument construction, participants were given the opportunity to acquire fundamental knowledge of the design and construction of stringed instruments. The aim of the event was to combine theoretical learning with practical experience by collaboratively building individual electric guitars from spare parts.

Every autumn, the young professionals group of the German Acoustical Society (DEGA) meets for several days at an acoustics institute somewhere in Germany. The aim of the workshop is to explore the diversity of acoustics, foster professional exchange, and build new connections.

On November 21, 2025, a full-day seminar on measurement and analysis technology in the fields of room acoustics, building acoustics, and sound reinforcement took place at the ETI. Bodo Besselmann and Lena Haverkamp presented current products from NTi and provided a hands-on introduction to their practical applications.

Im Rahmen eines zweitägigen Seminars am Erich-Thienhaus-Institut beschäftigten sich die Teilnehmenden mit einer zentralen Frage moderner Akustik: Wie unterscheiden sich menschliche Wahrnehmung und objektive Messdaten – und wie lassen sich beide Perspektiven sinnvoll miteinander verknüpfen? Geleitet wurde das Seminar von Prof. Dr.-Ing. Roland Sottek, Chief Science Officer bei HEAD Acoustics und ausgewiesener Experte für Psychoakustik und Sound Quality.

Am Freitag, den 9. Mai 2025, waren die Immersive-Audio-Spezialisten Ralph Kessler und Lasse Nipkow zu Gast am Erich-Thienhaus-Institut, um über eines der grundlegenden Werkzeuge der 3D-Audioproduktion zu sprechen: räumliche Raumimpulsantworten (RIA).
