Con­trol Room 1

The Con­trol Room 1 is de­signed for the pro­duc­tion of pop­u­lar mu­sic. In the spring of 2024, the con­trol room was tech­nic­ally mod­ern­ized to meet the cur­rent de­mands of today's pop mu­sic.

The cen­ter­piece is an AVID S6 con­trol­ler (24 faders | mas­ter & auto­ma­tion sec­tion | pro­du­cer desk) in com­bin­a­tion with a MacPro for the DAWs and cre­at­ive peri­pher­als.

For mon­it­or­ing, there is an ATC 5.1 mon­it­or sys­tem and vari­ous al­tern­at­ive near­field mon­it­ors avail­able.

Re­cord­ing, edit­ing, and mix­ing are done in a Pro Tools Ul­ti­mate (HDX) DAW. The sys­tem fea­tures 64 I/O. Vari­ous ana­log mi­cro­phone preamps from renowned man­u­fac­tur­ers (Neve, API, Grace Design, etc.) are avail­able.

For mix­ing, the DAWs are equipped with nu­mer­ous cur­rent plu­gins (UAD, SoundToys, Li­quid­Son­ics, Ex­po­nen­tial Au­dio, Son­nox, Drumagog, and many more), com­ple­men­ted by se­lec­ted ana­log out­board gear (SSL, Man­ley, Em­pir­ic­al Labs, We­sAu­dio, Shad­ow Hills, etc.).

New is an area for cre­at­ive mu­sic­al work. Here, vari­ous syn­thes­izers (Proph­et 5, Yamaha Re­face DX, Stu­di­o­elec­tron­ics mi­di­mini V30), a drum ma­chine (Ro­land TR-8S), a high-qual­ity mas­ter key­board (Korg SV 2S 73), as well as nu­mer­ous soft­ware pack­ages for the use of vir­tu­al in­stru­ments (Kom­plete Bundle, Ar­turia V-Bundle, Korg Col­lec­tion, etc.) are avail­able.

All cre­at­ive tools are mixed ana­log on an SSL Big­Six and can then be re­cor­ded and fur­ther pro­cessed in the DAW.

In ad­di­tion to Pro Tools Ul­ti­mate, Apple Lo­gic X, Cu­base Pro, and Ab­leton Live are avail­able as DAWs.

Ad­di­tion­ally, the AVID S6 con­trol­ler al­lows for use with ex­tern­al laptops run­ning vari­ous DAWs (Lo­gic X, Cu­base Pro, Pyra­mix, and Se­quoia, etc.).

Fi­nally, we place great value on a re­laxed work­ing at­mo­sphere and have placed a sofa in the con­trol room in ad­di­tion to per­fect work­sta­tions.
